A session with us will get you started with your DSLR and photo editing,  you can then either progress your photography with self learning, top-up sessions or  join specialist courses in the areas that interest you.

Sessions are based  in Ealing and run most Saturdays starting at 11am.

The 6.5 hour course is £159.00 per person. Courses will run with a minimum of two people.

First segment of about two hours is spent handling the dslr camera, learning the essential functions and controls along with  miniscule amount of essential theory about exposure and focus. This is followed by practice shooting and analysis of images on the LCD. Every aspect is covered in the bound course notes which are kept by the student.

A shooting excursion then follows, either out and about at maybe Kew Gardens (admission included) By the Thames at Kew, Portobello road or even the gorgeous Victorian ruins of Kensal Green Cemetery.

During this segment you will be advised on subject choice, camera position, controlling backgrounds, use of available light and composition while keeping a sharp eye on the camera settings.

Back at base you’ll download your images to one of our computers, learn the basics of Photoshop elements and burn your images to DVD to take home.

I’m pleased to continue to offer a reasonable amount of free telephone and email support  after the session and 2 hour top-up sessions (£50) are available at any time after a full session.
